Hi there! how u doin?
it seems like a wonderful day to start a journey about prcedure text, lets get to know them :
Procedure text is a text that is designed to describe how something is achieved through a sequence of actions or step. It explains how people perform different processes in a sequence of steps. It uses how to operate or use a product or tools, to make something new step by step completely.

Generic structure used in a manual or tips (procedural text) is:

Goal/aim (or title)

Materials (not required for all procedural texts)

Steps (the actions that must be taken)

Language Feature :

1. Work steps use Present tense, especially for command sentence 

2. use of technical terms

3. size

4. use first, second, next, and then, finally, at last

5. Clear and good spelling and writing

Pronunciation, stressing, and good intonation when it’s presented


Miss Nur gave me some exercises to do in order to help me understand what's procedure text will look like



there were two different prcedure text, and i have to identify them to answer these questions 

a. What are those texts about?
The text is about the information on how to insert simcard cellphone and how to cook rice in a rice cooker.

b. Who will probably need to read read the texts?
Everyone who has cellphone and everyone who will cook rice in rice cooker will need to read this text

c. What are the purpose of the texts?
The purpose of each text is to tell how something is done/accomplished through the sequence of steps.

d. What is the benefit of reading the texts?
The benefit of reading this text is the readers will know how to insert simcard cellphone and how to cook using rice cooker.


here's a text about how to cook rice 
➢ First, rinse a cup of rice in cold water. Rub the rice softly under the running
water. Do not rub the rice too long, because it will lose the nutrients. Wash the
rice once again. Then drain the water from the rice.
➢ Next, add a cup of water. If ou cook rice using an electronic rice cooker, pay
attention to the water ratio. The rice and the water ratio is usually 1 part rice
to 1 part water.
➢ Then, place the cooking pot in the rice cooker properly. Cover the pot. Select
the cooking button right after the light on the rice cook cook turns.
➢ Finally, when the rice has been cooked and is resilent , flip through the rice
very gently using a rice spatula
